CHILDCARE PROJECTS
This childcare program is meant to provide supplementary childcare options for parents and caregivers who work outside of the typical Monday-Friday 9-5. Rainbows is uniquely positioned to meaningfully contribute to creatively filling some of the childcare gaps in the community as reported to the PEC Municipality through a region wide survey. Although our afterschool program is tailored specifically for girls, the childminding and after-hours care services offered through the pilot will be open to all children, not just girls! Rainbows recognizes that barriers to childcare impact women, girls and their families and are confident that we can positively contribute to filling gaps by utilizing our already licensed space and the expertise of staff.
What We Offer
LICENSED WEEKEND CARE
Ages: 2-5 years
Fridays, 9a-12p
$25/child + applicable taxes
LICENSED CHILD-MINDING
Ages: 6-12 years
Weekends, 10a-3:30p
$40/child + applicable taxes

***Please note that this is NOT a “drop in” program. Your child must be registered and you must do an intake with staff before participation in the program is confirmed. If no children are enrolled 48 hours in advance of the dates, there will be no staff on site to provide the service. Planning ahead and pre-registering for the program is mandatory.
*There will be no services available October 3 & 4 or October 16 as the space is already in use. Apologies for any inconveniences and thank you for your understanding as this is a multi-use community facility
